New Chapter, New Girl

I have finally finished uni and handed in my last ever coursework. The best feeling in the world was handing in that celebrity culture literature review. Found out today that I got a B, so I am now extra happy!

Gonna miss the fashion management course and all my fashion girlies, but I now have more time to blog so watch this space.

Motel Rocks

I am in LOVE with Motel's new spring/summer collection. Motel have out done themselves this season with beautiful prints, shapes and colours that will see any fashionable lady through their SPRING BREAKS and Summer Holidays. Here is few of my fav items from the collection:

Summer Wardrobe

This summer me and my best friends, Loren and Suzanne are going to CUBAAAAA :)
We are too excited and we are currently looking for Holiday clothes, (never mind the fact we have not paid of the holiday yet Ooops!)

I am loving River Island's Spring/Summer collection complete with wild scarf print Playsuits and Bold and Bright Floral prints on any type of garment you can think of! The River Island collection is definitely the look i shall be sporting this summer in Cubaaaaa!

Fashion Project- The 1920's

I am doing a styling fashion project for Uni where the aim of the project is to style an outfit, hair and makeup look inspired by a vintage car. For this project the fashion students went to the Grampian Transport Museum and adopted are wee car. I chose the Ford Model T. Henry Ford famously said "Any customer can have this car in any colour as long as it is black." Black is certainly a colour which will feature heavily in my project. Think the little black dress! It is said that Coco Chanel was inspired by the Ford Model T when creating her LBD the ford dress.

This Spring/Summer 2012 many fashion houses have used the 1920's as style inspiration for creating their beautiful designs. Look at Dior, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs and Gucci. These designers are using the flapper dress, dropped waist style, beading and fringing, and the summer suit to recreate this opulent and elegant era.

Audrey Hepburn's dress from Breakfast in Tiffany's is the most iconic little black dress which is certainly going to influence my fashion project, although not the same era, I hope to achieve the simplicity of the perfect LBD.

When i have done the photoshoot i will upload photo's of the finished styling project.
